What is the plot of Furiosa A Mad Max  Saga?

In the film, Furiosa is a war captain under Immortan Joe but turns against him in order to free “The Five Wives”, Joe’s female concubines (or “breeders”). The film explores Furiosa’s journey as she comes into her own after being taken away from the Green Place of Many Mothers.

The film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, and Angus Sampson. It is directed by George Miller, who also co-wrote the script. The film is set to release on May 24, 2024.

Mad Max: Fury Road had a lot of fantastic things going for it, but few shined quite as brilliantly as Charlize Theron’s tough-as-nails take on Imperator Furiosa. The character was a testament to how many more fascinating stories George Miller could dream up for his beloved apocalyptic franchise. And while Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’s eponymous antihero might look a bit different in the Fury Road spin-off’s first trailer, it seems like the movie is going to over-deliver on everything Miller’s fans have been waiting for.

Set in a hellish future where traditional societies have collapsed, and precious natural resources like water are scare, Furiosa tells the story of how a much younger version of Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) is forced to fight for her life after she’s kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers by the warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).

The trailer is intentionally vague about how many years pass after Furiosa’s initially stolen away from her family and the moment when she finally makes a break for her own freedom. But by the time Furiosa’s ready to take her destiny into her own hands, she’s already seen enough of how men like Dementus have remade the world in their own images to know that she has to be ruthless in her fight for freedom.

Who is starring in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga?

The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy inherits Furiosa’s bionic arm from Theron, who first brought the character to life in 2015’s Fury Road.

She’ll be joined by Thor’s Chris Hemsworth as Dementus, a warlord that the star has described as “a very violent, insane, brutal person that is born from the Wasteland.”

he movie will also feature child actor Alyla Browne who worked on Millar’s recent feature Three Thousand Years of Longing, and The Wonder and Living actor Tom Burke, both in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The trailer also gave us our first look at a young version of villain Immortan Joe who was played by the late Hugh Keays-Byrne in Fury Road.

The film will also include appearances from Angus Sampson as The Organic Mechanic, Daniel Webber as War Boy and Australian athlete and actor Nathan Jones as Rictus Erectus. It’s currently unclear whether Hardy’s Mad Max — or a younger version of the character — will appear in the movie.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about her role in the movie, Taylor-Joy admitted: “It will probably take me the two years before it comes out to be able to digest what happened… I just finished it, so it’s a bit: wow.

“Life-changing. Longest shoot I’ve ever done, for sure, but with the most unbelievable crew, and I mean, what a character. I had her. We had each other.”
